Brief
L came to us with her well-worn engagement ring that she wanted to have re-purposed, re-designed and re-made with a beautiful and contemporary design. L described that she would like her new ring set in white metal and the design to elongate along her finger, using the original diamonds and sapphires from the ring and another stone of her choice.
Design
After an insightful consultation, Yasmin created three different designs for the ring. In order to elongate along the finger the design needed to break away from the traditional band. Organic, natural shapes were the inspiration for the new design. Yasmin was keen to have the rings sweeping design to be elegant, smooth and unique. Our intention was to highlight the beauty and shape of the stones whilst complementing the clients elegant, fun, nature. After showing the designs to L she was thrilled to choose her design.
Creation
The fine detail in this ring was key. The white gold spine of the branch either side required a great deal of skill to perfect. The extra stone was chosen from a collection of sapphires we had available. It was a lighter, larger sapphire than the others and was a beautiful complement and also a lovely contrast to the darker sapphires. The ring was made in several sections and then skilfully soldered together to create the eye-catching end result.
The end result
The finished result is nothing short of stunning. What a joy it has been to give new life to these beautiful stones. It is an absolute pleasure collaborating with our clients to achieve such a gorgeous ring that exudes beauty and elegance. We couldn’t be more thrilled.
